June 2019 Monthly Market Update
The month of May was crazy! May is the most popular month to put your home on the market. We saw a lot of homes come on the market and sell promptly with bidding wars. Most selling over asking price with multiple offers. I had one sell $20,000 over asking with the first offer coming in within a few hours of the house being on the market.
Obviously, we have a seller’s market because rates have remained low, as has the inventory level. Let’s take a look at the number of home’s under contract by county in the month of May in the last three years.

The number of homes going under contract in the month of May has declined in the last three years indicating that the number of homes going on the market in the last three years has continued to decline as well. This is why we are experiencing the demand we are here locally.
Now that we have hit June, the number of sellers looking to sell has decreased, yet there are a ton of buyers out there still ready to purchase, making it a great time to sell. I
